Youth Take Action During Government Trip

The program is a YMCA function that strives to help youth initiate action. The annual Ohio high school Student Legislature and Student Supreme Court convene at the Statehouse to experience the processes of legislating. Conducted every year since 1952, several bills proposed by students in the program have made their way into Ohio code. Two Wellington students wrote about their experience at Youth in Government, and their entries are below.
